At Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative, we want to make paying your electric bill as convenient to our members as possible. In southern Illinois, utility bills are usually the highest during the winter months. Budget billing avoids these high periods by leveling out seasonal high and low payments through the year. In order to enroll and establish a baseline, members are required to have at least 12 months of usage history at their current residence.
Once enrolled, the first eleven monthly payments will be the same. Payment twelve is the settle-up month where any credit or balance due on your account for the budget year is reflected. In other words, this is the difference between the cost of energy you used during the previous eleven months and the amount paid for the same months.
The service is free. If you are interested, please contact us as 800-762-1400.
