Anna Thompson and Owen Westbrooks are this year’s Youth to Washington winners!
Anna is the daughter of Glen and Ashley Thompson of Metropolis. She attends Massac County High School where she is active in Girl Scouts, Scholar Bowl, and is a member of the National Honor Society. Anna volunteers her time to help many different organizations. On her trip to Washington, D.C., she hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the politics of our nation and how it is run. In the future, she hopes to become a pharmacist.
Owen is the son of Chad and Stacey Westbrooks of Metropolis. He attends Massac County High School where he is active in Math Team, Student Council, and Jazz Band. On his trip to Washington, D.C., Owen is looking forward to learning about our government and how it operates. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in education. Owen is considering becoming a teacher.
